Joe is that the official position of the Federal/National Cancer Association?? they are due to change their previous lousy recommendation for women to use their own discression.. by Wednesday..
However the National Cancer association has made that declaration/afffirmation already in the past and this week etc.. So we
need to be careful and specify which organization we are referring to?

There is no question that this is hot hot hot and you may or may not see the results tomorrow.. but it is going to help future sales of the
mammography products including MRI. So it is a good time to invest in medical devices which relate to mammography.. MRI is one of them the best detection around but at a higher price.. kind of trying to prove itself against xrays and other technologies.

FONAR's QUAD has been focused on mammography from a Marketing perspective the quad they feel will work that turf in the multibed configuration.. at a reasonable cost. However its kind of not the Quads full intended purpose.. The Quad needs to prove itself against dedicated machines like MAMO's AURORA in the mammography niche and it may find itself at a disadvantage within that narrow application.
But the QUAD is very upmarket from AURORA because it can do more things.... almost 2 and some times the cost of AURORA.

So for a general purpose machine like the QUAD to focus on this application, you know its a very hot hot hot topic. FONAR believes the QUAD is the only open machine in the market but that is not so either. The QUAD images the breasts in a semi compressed deformed fashion which is a big problem.. AURORA uses a prone position open cone in which the patient lies stomach down and the breasts descend into cups the bed then withdraws into an open cone (RING feet stick out back) 100 inch in outside width 0.5T magnet for imaging and the patients head is always out in the open..

On the other hand for MRI guided surgery I don't think the QUAD has a rival.. So it will have its day if it produces accurate clear pictures and it will compete.. Another big handicap for QUAD is that AURORA has fat supression and it may hold the patent for that field strengh.. which would again be an advantage for AURORA machine.. Now has anybody seen independent opinions by radiologist regarding the QUAD's performance even company specs or anything... not critizing but do wish to have a feel for its specifications and what it can do in head to head competition... I can't cover both bets..on my salary..

FONR stock was bullish today..so FONRs rally may be on again tomorrow confirms the trend..
