A few new items - (1) Novell needs a senior Vice President of marketing; (2) I understand that Brock Meeks now works for MSNBC (as of 1/15/97)...can we trust him on his reports regarding Novell and MS? According to Ms Monica Young and Mr. Steven Burke of Computer Reseller News their comment on the selection of CEO Schmidt.... "Even though, Schmidt is on board now, there are still holes to be filled." From a March 18, 1997 article out of Tech investor... John Oltsik, senior analyst with Forrester Research Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based market research firm, said Novell still needs a strong marketer to help lead a turnaround. "They still need a senior vice president of marketing," he said. "That's a hole that still needs to be filled." Any ideas as to whom CEO Schmidt will pick to lead marketing? I am sure this will be one of his first selections. Is there a short list making it's way around? EKS
