[T1/E1 report]

<<<GlobeSpan Technologies made multiple contributions, ***including wording*** for baseline text of the new standard.>>>

That ought to be good. Real good. Tolstoy's fiction will seem like Haiku by comparison.

Seriously, has anyone heard anything from the meeting?

Okay, adding one more question to my list. . . :)

Thanks for the kind words, too. Of all the conversations I had today --- MCI, NEC/Australia, IBM/Ameritech, and at least 4 or 5 others who follow the technology carefully --- the most encouraging words came from the ADSL guy at IBM, responding to my worry about RBOCs history of delaying decisions. "They will deploy," he said. Then speaking of their competition, the MCIs and GTEs of the world, he added, "You will see some something in the near term. . . you are going to be safe." He and the guy from MCI both own Amati stock.

No more down days, okay?

Cheers!

Pat
