Hi Stock Bull:
I ran into a guy who used to be my boss this weekend. He is the person who got me into Dell Computers at all, about 3 1/2 years ago. And after a lot of research, I bought the stock. He never bought the stock, but he bought the computers. He has had five notebooks. Every time there is a more powerful machine, he buys another. He has a house full of Dell Computers for his wife and kids.
My company upgrades their computers about every other year. They are buying Dell Computers. Our VP of Engineering in California is big on Dell. Finally, some light!
I just don't see PC demand decreasing. If Dell can keep their ASP's up and not give into the cheap PC prices, they will hold their own, I believe. I like to compare Dell to BMW. You don't go to the dealership and offer the dealer half price. People are willing to pay more for what they perceive as valuable. I think most people will own several computers, including a hand held computer. And, if Dell is getting into the ISP game, they will have to creatively market the offer and price it to get the profit that they need. Michael and his team do that best. Their management team is busy lining up their shots. I tend to side with Kemble. I just think they will come out swinging, when the time is right. And until then, I think it is wise to hold. I am hoping Dell has a slam dunk this time. Earnings are just a few weeks away! I don't mind the wait for the ROI!!
