You could be right and make some good points. I will tread carefully. My plan had been to hold until August but now what I feared might happen then has just happened. The last two Augusts were poor but the 96 August was strong.

I also agree that any rally will not last long. It would be strictly a matter of making a few grand back and getting out from my perspective as I can't stay by my computer in a cyber cafe in Europe.

As for the big name techs, they still have room to fall if no buyers step in. Drug stocks look safer and they were up today mostly.
Select retailers might also be a safer bet.

Just hate to dump cutting edge small cap techs now which already feel very undervalued. "Feel" being the operative word.

Best of luck to us all timing this thing because that's clearly the name of the game unless you're like my dad and you hold for your entire life. He's got his Lucent at two bucks a share. I would have told him to sell at 77 but imagine the capital gains taxes.

The only rub is that I still don't see any "bad news" out there, just low volumn and hesitancy to jump back in. Oh well. I'll play it as best I can. One thing's for sure, I can't put the market on rewind. The past doesn't matter. Only what's ahead.
