In my opinion, 90 percent of the auction sites popping up will be out of business within a year or two.

I also consider the buyers and sellers at these sites to be good candidates for switching to eBay.

However, in the short-term, they provide an outlet for dissatisfied sellers to try selling the wares they are not able to sell successfully on eBay.

I still think eBay is the long-term winner in this market.

The BIG question is, and always has been: How BIG can this market get? And how quickly will it grow going forward?

Short-term, eBay has a two problems to solve:

1. Bringing in more buyers to raise the demand to meet the glut of supply from the sellers.

2. Getting more business out of the new registrants is does bring in.
