"Check time of sale for that period of trading..."

Thanks for the benefit of your experience. And thanks everyone else for allowing us to wander somewhat off-topic.

So how does one check the sequence of trades for that period, as you suggest? Only through a broker? All I have to go on is the 5-minute chart. Not getting a fill is turning into a real bummer because as of today's low I would have had 3+ points. My limit was right there at the high on Wednesday, then it started down in earnest on Thursday. C'est la vie. Like I said, I've had limit orders in before and noticed at the close that my price had been exceeded by a tick, only to be surprised to find I didn't get a fill. And that's not on short sales or blocks of even 1000 shares.

"...NSM does not have MM's on the NYSE or any 'listed Exchange."

What did you mean by that? Or was it just my referring to the Specialist as a Market Maker? (Isn't the specialist a market maker?) I'm confused...

Here's another one: if I'm trying to sell 600 shares and there are several orders in the system on the other side which add up to that amount, isn't the MM's function to facilitate the exchange -- i.e., gobble my shares up and then dole them out to the others? Or does the MM get involved only when it can make a tick or two out of the spread?

BTW - I have had orders with this broker execute on the smaller regional exchanges...

Thanx again.
