ian....re: "wealth and greenspan" don't know that in the history of the world that wealth of a society has ever caused an inflationary economy....in fact the reverse is true ...it creates demand for product, and in a competitive market it generates competitive pricing....as far as shortage of workers, why not restructure taxes versus social security so the "retired" may re enter the work force without penalty...
