CNBC just gave good coverage of Dell's offer. The PC they are offering is just under $1,000 and has a Celeron Chip. The difference, they say, between this offer and others from competitors is the warranty and the service from Dell. The other PC companies are not offering this. I think Dell is smart enough to win customers for a lifetime. The repeat business is very important, because people will buy more than one computer. I think it is very smart and they will win a lot of first time PC buyers into this affordable plan. They said that Dell may be late to the party, but they will be the best dressed. I love that! Better to make a grand entrance than to be the first one there. LW
