How many spin-offs (sanctioned or not sanctioned) have come from Sun? How important have they been in the past? Were they as important as the buzz Java created for SUNW? Seems similar to Apple...software spinoffs were encouraged because they viewed themselves as a hardware company...entrepreneurial spirit departed with the spin-offs? Could that happen to SUNW if they keep losing teams like that which created JAVA?
