The company announced this morning that they will buy up to 200,000 shares of their stock in the open market, "depending on market conditions".

Basically that's pretty good news. With such a small float, and low volume it should put a floor under the stock.

However, it also said they would also buy in "private transactions", which could be a code word for "sweetheart prices for insiders", using shareholder assets.

I wonder if this is the culmination of what they talked about last year? Hiring an investment banker to look for ways to "enhance shareholder value".

If it is, I would say they wasted their money.
