Jim, 'wireless data devices'--count me in on the 8 1/2" X 11" "etch a sketch". Incredible as it might seem, I've been shopping for a portable for two months now and can't find anything that really fits the bill for me. What do I want? The ability to do word processing and a little number crunching and e-mail access and of course get on the web while I'm on the road. Period. Light applications of word and excel may be o.k. but it doesn't seem that I should have to compromise. Obviously need to synch stuff back up with desk top but that shouldn't be a biggie either. When I am sitting in the Red Carpet Club at O'Hare in January and all monitors are flashing "flight delayed" and I know I'm screwed, my options are a) serial murder or b) serial scotch and sodas. To date, the latter has always prevailed but you never know. With your handy dandy etch-a-sketch, god knows how many lives could be saved as I proceed to pay bills or otherwise make productive use of down time. To me, that would be the killer app/device.
