About Akamai Akamai Technologies is transforming the way content is delivered over the Internet. Akamai's network is expanding daily. Since the beginning of this year, the company has deployed over 600 servers on 20 networks worldwide, and is planning to expand capacity to over 1,000 servers by the end of the year. Since launching FreeFlow commercially in April, Akamai has delivered over 20 billion hits of its customers' content.
