High-Tech Campaign Donors Favor Bush Over Gore

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Though Democratic Vice President Al Gore claims to have helped create the Internet, Republican foe George W. Bush is the one raking in the most money from people in the high tech industry, according to a preliminary review of campaign financial records.

During the first six months of this year, Bush, the Texas governor who is the Republican presidential front-runner, received $380,200 in donations from individuals in the computer industry, more than double that of Democratic front-runner Gore with $177,950.

Gore raised only about $11,000 more from the industry than former Sen. Bill Bradley of New Jersey, his only challenger for the party nomination. Bradley got $166,975....
