They aren't stupid questions just hard ones to answer. yes, you can build an expert as shown in the manual. It will take some trial and error but by looking at the properties of the equis experts you can see how each element is handled. I have to plead ignorance on the "P" method, I never use it. Some one else will have to speak to its uses. I would be susprised if you could, it is an area I haven't looked at. I have become less of a believer that indices reflect a stocks movement over time or should be used in the manner you describe. This is against the convential wisdom but I have never felt from observations that the indices should play a role in entry/exit to a stock.
