Mike, if Asia is hurting now imagine how bad things will be once our bubble bursts and US consumer loses his appetite to consume based upon debt, dissaving and the wealth effect of the stock market.- talk about tough love! ooohh that hurts. I don't have the numbers handy but Japan's overall trade surplus went down ( where is the global recovery?) yet its surplus with the US went up. There is a limit to how much economic violence the US worker can stand at some point there will be cries to protect jobs- Bill Clinton doesn't feel their pain but congress might after the next election.
