I didn't think anybody was lurking...
and my performance is not very interesting.
You can have the thread if you like...I just
thought I would stop posting my trades and
thoughts here--I've have not been doing very well
lately anyway...
The important thing however is that this whole
thing is with "house money"...and I suppose I'll
keep playing til my stop is hit, at that point I'll
probably sell half of my stuff--but at the least it
will be no trading for me for awhile...I should think
a year off would be about right. I intend to walk away
with some of that house money, so I may have to part
with some shares and go 50% cash.
I took a 6k hit in Magainin just yesterday, that
sucked...but my basis was under $2, so it was
mainly just taking back a paper gain I'd not
locked in. I had sold most of my postition when
it moved from below 2 to above 3, so I'm actually
up in that stock...not many folks can say the same.
The whole thing with MAGN's Pex was a real shame...
I still do not understand what the FDA was thinking.
Gosh Les, you got me chatting, I do way too much of
that and not enough reading. Right now I'm trying to
get through the latest scientific paper regarding
Ariad's regulated gene therapy. Very exciting stuff,
but it's not doing anything for the stock.
Bought more ARIA--that was my main trade this past
week...swapped my remaining ctii for more aria...not
sure it was a good trade, ARIA ticks down a little
every day and a bottom at 1 1/4 is now looking like
1 1/8th.
Oh, I locked a 50% gain in VLTS...I guess that was
a good trade...took several months, but nice.
Now this time I really am going to shut up! I don't
know that there is an awful lot of interest in
microcap biotech--nobody ever seems to post back
at me to tell me what they are watching. It was
an okay idea...but it just did not work out.
