I heard that two venture capital funds have distributed shares to their investors. These funds have a 10 year term and have winners and losers in their portfolios. Their terms have expired. Investors in these funds have a cost basis under $1 and are cashing out as they receive their shares.
Insiders in the company think they will not look back fondly on those decisions. You hold a stock 10 years and get $20 but if you hold one or two more years you get $50 to $100. Which is better?
The chart looks terrible but we have not broken old lows. This situation represents a terrific buying opportunity for investors with more than a few week time horizon and with strong stomachs. I can not tell where the bottom is, but value is certainly present at current levels.
