Good evening Frank. AOL. I don't have AOL specifically on margin. I have a margin account and should it go too low I will be called for money; period. If I want to go off margin I just sell whatever I want. But yes, I am still highly margined. As far as AOL is concerned I bought my last shares in Jan. at 150 before the split, 75 after the split. ALL of my AOL shares are still in the green.

I don't think that Dell and Msft are responsible for AOL's problems. Everybody is still harping on AOL needing cable and then there is this talk that AOL will go down the toilette because of all this free ISP stuff and again free ISP when you buy certain cpts which now includes Dell. But AOL did say that the future lies with advertisement and not ISP's but I guess everybody takes this let's wait and see stance. And yes, those insider sales yesterday certainly did not help AOL's cause. I understand that S.Case's share of the sale was only about 0.3% of his holdings. But another insider supposedly sold 25%? That sounds a bit steep if true. I can remember when Mr. Case sold a lot of shares last year and then the stock practically tripled. I think that there is a lot of stuff going on which is hard to keep up with. The only thing I can do is keep an eye on AOL and see what comes out of the company. This denial about open access in San F. at this time did not help either but luckily did not do any damage before a rumor started. AOL's stock went up grudgingly today, and this when the market did so well, but better up a little than down. Then this rumor hit about AT&T cutting their internet rates. I am not even sure what on earth that means. Their ISP rates? I have been out and had no time to check on this story. Anyhow, the rumor drove some of those internet stocks down including AOL.

About this oversold market. I guess it is oversold if you consider a 30+ PE oversold. I call it oversold since I am still highly margined and hope that the market will go a lot higher.

I hope A.G. does well tomorrow so he does not provoke your rage again. GG. Frank. A.G. has to be on top of things. I know he likes to go overboard but he is greatly responsible for us having made this money in the markets. I read that you don't understand why some of us keep defending A.G. But the way I look at it is that no other FED has done for my portfolio what Greenspan has done. Again. Yes, there are other factors like productivity and the likes but without a fairly decent FED we would have problems. Do I like the whole system on how the FED operates? NO. I believe that there is too much power in the FED and I also believe that an open FED would be a lot better but that is another story. Right now we have to do with what we have. And----IT COULD BE WORSE.

All of our lawns around here are brown also. I could not afford to water anyway with all my margin etc. gg.

I will watch the Q&A tomorrow.

Sonny

P.S. MER's internet analyst still favors those top tier internet stocks and has a long term buy on them. He still thinks that it will be very volatile in this sector until September. Let's look forward to the Xmas season and maybe AOL will give us a nice surprise.
