No I don't think that it could be confusion with the Oilex in Canada. The pr stated, Basil Pantages, Director, Thunderbird Projects Ltd has agreed to acquire all the outstanding shares of Oilex Exploration Corporation (Oilex), a private company, by issuing 4,300,000 shares of Thunderbird subject to approval of the Vancouver Stock Exchange and shareholders. Oilex owns a producing oil property in Manitoba with eight oil wells of which 4 wells are currently producing in the order of 1.000 barrels of oil per month.
1) The Oilex they are taking over is a private co.
2) The wells are in Manitoba, and OLEX is in Texas.
3) They only have 4 currently producing wells, while OLEX has hundreds.
There has been big buys and sells, and I don't think someone with that much money will invest it in a small co. like OLEX without doing a little bit a research.
I don't know about any pending news release. I haven't called Tom or Allen in a month or two. If nothing comes out by tomorrow, I will probably call next week.
