This is the first time ever that Intel is releasing their latest processor at such a low price. Not only that,it is lower than highest price from competition (Athlon-600 MHz). One can question if Athlon pricing is going to stay that high once it is is volume and that we shall see. However, the very fact that Intel priced it lower than yet-to-be volume production part from competition speaks for itself.

Inspite of all the funny reasoning about why they can lower the prices, this is the first overt admission from Intel that its products have lost the race to the high-end.

It looks like Intel is taking AMD quite seriously unlike some of the Intel longs that post on this thread.
