Thanks for the info.I was not aware of this situation. The RatCom-2 channel DNA analysis System is for real. The research arm of the FDA whose laboratories are on the NIH campus are processing an order for a system to be devoted to studying a blood cancer problem called Chronic Lymphatic Lymphoma.(CLL) This research group utilizing several of the last generation flow cytometers over the past 12 years have been totally unsuccessful in defining this problem which affects about 8% of all Americans over 60 years of age.A blood sample from a CLL sufferer at the NIH was tested and the results were electifying. The reaction from the research group was astounding. This test had never been run on the RatCom system and was subsequently run with different samples the next two days with superb results.
There are an ever increasing number of tissue samples being obtained which is building the data base which eventually will be used in making application to the FDA.Currently the company has systems installed at Johns Hopkins,The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center ( Univ of Miami),Reed- Hardeman University in Tenn, and is anticipating providing a system to the hospital associated with the Catholic University in Rome,Italy. The future prospects IMHO are very bright. One other item:The Sylvester researchers have data that indicates that needle biopsies provide sufficient number of cells for a diagnosis to be run. With only a three minute run time such an aspiration could be done in a Doctor's office and the breast cancer diagnosis world would undergo a radical change.
