Voice activated features on CDMA:

cfoent: Approximately two to three weeks ago, + or -, on the original thread, someone posted that Q! had filed for a patent that, as I recall, incorporated voice activated features as part of Q!'s ASIC design and software platform built into that design. It seems clear that Q will move in this direction for the reasons others have posted re. the limitations of small, handheld devices.

I guess my question for the thread is the state of relative stun (shock being too strong, by a little) upon learning just how far behind the US cell phone industry is in rolling out web enabled, web access and messaging features compared to the Europeans, as detailed in the NYT piece yesterday.
