If Freeport were to make any offer for Bre-X after they have participated in miscommunication of info concerning their due diligance results they would face a multitude of lawsuits unless they offered something wildly exceeding present estimates of value by brokers.

My guess is that Bre-X wants clarification from them (Freeport) as Nesbits have confirmed in their weird and poorly worded release from yesterday that they have also substantiated that Freeports initial due diligance does not agree with grade info provided to date. While Nesbitt have reiterated their faith in the resource calculations IMO they shouldn't have said anything.

I heard from someone that the Nesbit release was an internal memo that somehow got out can anyone confirm or deny this.
