Transfers: wait three weeks?

Datek lets you wire out 1 day after altering wire instructions. Schwab wants three weeks? What do they think they have to do, run a new phone line up the pole? Or hire another lawyer to change your account agreement to be much longer and much less clear than before without your consent? Where did they learn customer service? The IRS? Perhaps Merrill Lynch.

And not only does the Schwab link "to apply or learn more" fail, but the link to provide feedback (about the failed link) fails also.

What an amazing culture: a combination of smug self-satisfaction and incompetence. How did that happen?! Will they even notice when the outflow to online brokers overwhelms the inflow from full-service?
