"You obviously haven't got the foggiest idea what real astrology is!"
...
quite contrarily, I know very well what REAL ASTROLOGY is. And, no, I do not think it is a hocus pocus art. I understand that it is an inexact science. I also understand that the world/universe moves in cycles, so general predictions are easy as pie. I also understand that specific predictions are not anything other than guesswork (which is why they generally aren't made by astrologers).

I also understand that it fails to explain people born under the same sign (ie. at the same time) in the same hospital... but wait they were in different opperating rooms(and therefore different long/lat) so I can't use that can I?

"Are you just displaying your ignorance and are merely mouthing your own and the prejudices of your elders/religious teachers"... no. but you keep bringing in religion for some reason... attacking it even. you must be right, I can't have my own opinion, I'm just a pawn of the elders'. they control my life and I am a drone... whatever dude.

I am not ignorant of the science of astrology. I have read over 40 books appertaining to both astrology and astronomy and I simply prefer astronomy as a past time.

"astrology has indeed predicted a number of events"... yes, over and over and over and over the same generalizations have been made and eventually someone thinks an event is big enough to be credited to some prediction or another. We are all aware when low tide is.

"As I mentioned earlier, the stars incline"... and that is pretty much all I've been saying. and thank you for conceding the possibility that N might have been wrong on some of his predictions. now if only you would see that all the others could corrispond to events from each century begining with 1 AD (or before). Then maybe you'd see that your science is really a science of history, not the stars. then we'd be getting somewhere.

nope, not a bigot as far as I know. In fact one of the reasons I know what I know is because I have several friends who are "into" astrology. This includes my wife who believes as you do...

I am just of a different opinion.

PS. Another good question: Do astrologers take into account the fact that the stars are not where we see them, but rather possibly light years away and we are only seeing where they were? ... and the fact that we (as a galaxy) are moving as well.
