Re:.Working for wages set to keep us in check. The Market sets your wages - nothing else. If you don't believe it, search the net for your job description in other parts of the country and adjust for cost of living at that site and see if it's not close to the same.

Re:.I believe he is following an agenda put in place by the wealthiest of this land to protect them from financial ineptness caused by commonplace wealth.

This statement shows that you have no idea what the charter of the Fed is. You should read the info at the site below and remember that the Fed is executing policy as set forth by the legislative branch of our government. It's kind of ironic that the Fed policy making committee should be concerned with stiring up trouble just to keep the masses in check! LOL!

Re:.Just think what life would be like if we were all wealthy enough to leave our jobs, support our families and do as we please without the worry of financial support.

How would you live if you didn't support yourself? Are you talking about government entitlements here? Just how do you think you could eat? Maybe you would like to try living in Russia or Brazil or some other places where they really can't manage inflation and price stability and see how you could get along.

Re:.which incidentally productivity and world competition
has keep in check while Mr. Greenspan gets the credit.

This statement is nonsense. Greenspan has never taken credit for the productivity improvements and, in fact, has gone out of his way to state that technology has advanced productivity gains greatly. If you had read any of his speeches you would also notice that he harps continuously on education and re-training so everyone can benefit from the higher paying high tech jobs which are so short of qualified personnel now.

Re:."The rich get richer" I didn't make that one up I heard it all my life along with "the poor get poorer".

This is no mistake and is true. It's true because the rich work at it while some of the poor are waiting around for more entitlements. You are the only one that controls your gains and standard of living. And don't say it can't be done because I worked my way through college and graduated at the age of 36 with a BSME and then took more courses in metallurgy for fun and further profit. I came from the same background as you but decided it was going nowhere and changed course.

Re:.Finally the real atrocity IMO is each and every cure they have always leaves us (the masses) lacking. Not one is efficient

Too bad all the people who know how to run this country are busy running taxicabs or cutting hair.
