The only long-range study of twins most of us have ever heard of was the Minnesota Project, which "proved" exactly the opposite. But the researchers were investigating the genetic component in personality, not astrological influences (what an idea!). Hence they focussed on twins reared apart, and found such overwhelming evidence of similarities in personality, that they came down hard on the "nature" side of the nature/nurture dispute. (Their research results remain controversial, however.)

Entwined Lives : Twins and What They Tell Us About Human Behavior, by Nancy L. Segal (1999)

Of course, they do not tell us anything about astrology.
