Elmatador, Thanks for the insight.
I've been unfortunate enough to have worked for a group of "Government mis-managers" who attempted to prematurely trash the "good old stuff", along with the old folks who "fixed the good old stuff" --and of course replace it with new stuff, that hadn't yet been built --- so I fully understand your point.
By the way Lucent is my major holding, along with Qcom & Ericy. And if I had the cash, and time horizon, I'd hold the others as well.
I'm an old burnt out techie, part of a group who laborsly plotted voice grade line frequency graphs (with pencil, paper, analog generators & meters), measured distortion on 60MA Teletype Lines, and even played with a Strowger Switch. You may have seen this stuff in a museum some where.
Anyway, enough history, and on to a question or two --
Am I not needlessly tying up the PSTN with data (packets) from my PC, as I BS on Silicon Investor ?
Doesn't Ericsson currently have upgrades to their AXE switches which will piggy back my lowly packets onto some alternate data path ?
Who has the edge technology to immediately recognize that I'm creating packets, not voice, and route my packet BS onto an IP path, rather than a voice path ?
And -- How're we gonna get rich on this stuff ? M |
