Mohan - I went to Bharat Natyam program(got suckered in by a girl I saw at birth and the first 3 years of her 16 years of life so far suddenly calling upon 'uncle' ratan for support) last sunday and was struck by this thought.....

All the dances related to Krishna, the God of the North. But all the singing was in a South Indian (cant tell the diff bet. them all) language. Further the South has always rebelled against making Hindi the national language.

Now how did Krishna get to be the preferred God of Bharat Natyam dances ??
