Eric,
As you say, TKR is very thinly traded, and therefore can be subject to large price moves with relatively little volume. I held TKR throughout '96 and did some trading in it as the price jumped up and down throughout the year (sold a bunch at over $10 after one of the press releases on the Nain claim). One thing I did notice early in the season last year was that TKR began on a trend upward that lasted for several months. While it was on this trend upward, there were some significant moves up and down, but the overall trend was up. So, this latest drop doesn't concern me in the least, especially on no news.

Happy Investing!
