I think it's kinda funny that IA64 has pretty much altogether disappeared from our radar screens. I had the strange feeling while reading that fellow's posts, that we were suddenly back in 1995 or '96.

It's my understanding that HP isn't even involved anymore with the project and Intel has taken it over(?). Anyway, if production is more than 2 years out, it's dead (it would seem to me).

According to HP's scramble back into PA-RISC, it would look like that's the case.
