In your area price may not be the issue yet. But here in Fremont Ca pricing is an issue. The waiting time is non-existent. You can basically have it installed right after you hang up the phone. They are bombarding my mail box and my friends' mail boxes with flyers for free installation and free AOL. But couple of my friends refused to install @Home primarily for its high price. They said they can live with their PacBell.Net connection although it's a little bit slower. But they don't mind the slowness to save 20 bucks. My collegue voiced the same opinion. IMO, Pricing will be an issue to fully upgraded area like Fremont. The penetration rate is less than 10% here. I believe TCI would make a big difference by reducing the price to $20. By so doing, they instantly push up the penetration rate to 50%. So, it's a different story between fully upgraded area and unavailable area.
