The "let's all order our certificates and produce a short squeeze" ploy is invariably a loser. It's generally proposed by desperate longs in dying companies when all else fails. Short squeezes are actually remarkably rare and generally short-lived.

If anybody is ever so unfortunate as to find yourself long in a position where the longs (or the company) are trying to manufacture a short squeeze, my advice is to cut your losses and get out.
