Thanks Chuck. I just thought about issuing class B ALSC stock that tracks the investment portfolio and trades separately from the chip operation stock(what we have now). I don't know if that's possible or if they need to make it an ADR since UMC is overseas. AFA a stock buyback, don't you think there are other companies ALSC could invest in to get a better return than ALSC? I'm not complain- ing about ALSC right now, but it was tough to hold last year! Usually mgmt. buys back their own stock only if they find no better investment elsewhere OR want to give something back to shareholders as you said.
