Re: "DSL Problems"--I wonder how many of the complaint letters (sent to CNet, per the article) weren't DSL-related. Yesterday, for instance, my POTS connection to Bell Atlantic was down for most of the day, apparently because the server was down that is supposed to verify passwords. Every time I would try to log on, it didn't recognize my userid/password. That's going to happen on DSL as well at this QoS level.

New implementations tend to be more suspected by the user, and incur more complaints. The typical reaction to the old technology (28.8 modems, eg.) is to accept it.
