How do you get to the Classic site, Cheeky? I just tried techstocks.com and it's this new version that sucks the big one. Takes forever to load, big dark blue wasted space sitting there doing nothing but distracting the eye, all the buttons moved around, if you click where Subjectmarks should be you remove the bloody subjectmark .... aaargh. I was logged in to exchange2000 as usual, fired up the modem and clicked bookmarks, just like normal, got some stupid go2net error message ['go2net' and 'error' may quickly evolve into synonyms, eh] ... finally figured out how to log in and now all i can find is the internet's answer to the Edsel ... a very large pain in the ass and a complete waste of time.
Brad and Jeff Dryer created an elegant text-only site that worked - free of advertising [there were ads on the member page i finally found!], free of graphics and useless colour blocks, quick to load, brilliantly laid out for the convenience of the user. Now along comes gnet and they 'fix' it ... what are they looking for, some even-slower and more-offensive imitation of ragingbull?
I am not impressed. Well, that's it for play-internet time just now. Could have been productive, if real SI hadn't been sucked down the go2net tube. Cheers to ya, Cheeky.
