While I know of some parvenu(myself included I suppose) who have got somewhat well off their stock options & investment decisions it is by no means the case that "everyone is a millionaire". Joe Q. Bloggs still makes his 45K a year, dreams of buying his 120K house and has yet to benefit from the stock market. Perhaps its because his more enterprising brother Jim already tried his hand in the stock market(he bought aol @ 170 and ebay @ 200) and has lost money. Joe is staying clear off the stock market(but he buys a lottery ticket or two).
I know that there are _pockets_ such as the Bay area where everyone seems to be a 10+ millionaire, with ridiculous property value appreciation. Maybe Seattle and Manhattan as well. However in general this here is no bubble economy--the stock market may give back some but I see no 30s style great depression either....
