I don't buy the argument that "fate of the world economy is now totally dependent on the stock market". The US is doing quite well in terms of productivity gains and can afford to consume the goods and services without the wealth effect associated with a rising stock market.
While I agree that the inets are overpriced and deserve another 80% haircut(a selective crash if you will), companies like MSFT, INTC etc. are generating real incomes. Maybe they are fully priced, but certainly not overpriced.
