NPLS Partners With @Work to Provide Nationwide High-Speed DSL Internet Access

QUINCY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 28, 1999--Network Plus Corp. announced today the formation of a business partnership with @Work, the business focused division of Excite@Home, to utilize @Work's Nationwide broadband backbone to provide Network Plus business customers with high-speed DSL access to the Internet. This partnership will enable Network Plus to supplement its own broadband network and provide services where its customers need connectivity outside of its region. Network Plus offers a full suite of enhanced services such as Virtual Private Networks, managed network services and high speed Internet access.

Rob Hale, Network Plus Chief Executive Officer, said ``We are delighted to implement this partnership with @Work, one of the nation's leading broadband providers to businesses. This partnership will significantly increase our ability to serve our customers' needs in regions outside of the Network Plus footprint. This is an important tool in successfully targeting medium sized businesses with multiple office locations across the nation. The @Work partnership is part of our continuing strategy to enter strategic relationships with national leaders in network connectivity for out-of-region solutions. The @Work partnership is complementary to our existing strategic partnership with NorthPoint, which provides DSL solutions within the current Network Plus footprint.' James Crowley, Chief Operating Officer, added ``Our network rollout in-region continues on plan, and results for the second quarter continue to meet or exceed our expectations.
