Today's Man Appoints David Mangini, Former Structure President, to Chief Merchandising Officer
Retail and Brand Development Authority to Lead Efforts to Drive Sales, Support Brand-Building Program
MOORESTOWN, N.J., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Today's Man, Inc. (Nasdaq: TMAN - news, TMANW - news), today announced that it has named David Mangini, 54, to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Mangini, who will report directly to David Feld, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, replaces Gary Kellman, who served as Executive Vice President of Merchandising since November of 1996.

Prior to joining Today's Man, Mr. Mangini most recently served as the President of Gadzooks, Inc., a specialty retailer of teen fashions and accessories. For nearly a decade, Mr. Mangini served as President of The Limited's Structure Division. He introduced the concept with one store and developed it into a major force in the menswear market with more than 500 stores. Mr. Mangini developed Structure's merchandise strategy that addressed all the clothing needs of the targeted customer and his lifestyle.

Prior to The Limited, while serving as the GMM and Executive Vice President of The Gap, Mr. Mangini led the transition from a heavy reliance on outside brands to a vertical strategy with its own brands and sub-brands. He also was responsible for sourcing and merchandising for Banana Republic.

''We could not have created a merchant with better credentials to help lead our efforts to drive sales, improve merchandising and establish the Today's Man brand,'' said David Feld, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Today's Man. ''David has a unique understanding of what it takes to drive sales while creating an image, shopping environment and merchandise assortment that will position Today's Man as the trusted menswear authority for our customers.''

Feld continued, ''David also has a strong track record in the area of executive development and retention which is increasingly important as the competition for talented merchants increases. With David by my side, I believe we have a merchandising team with talent and depth that rivals anyone in the industry.''

Today's Man plans to launch its e-commerce site, todaysman.com, prior to the holiday selling season, and four new superstores are scheduled to open after Labor Day of this year. These stores will open in the new prototype format which, by design provides a shopping experience consistent with the high quality of the merchandise while increasing sales per square foot by slightly reducing the overall footprint and decreasing non-selling space. This will provide Today's Man with instant national awareness while nearly doubling the Company's presence in metropolitan Washington, D.C., which is one of the strongest markets in America for menswear.

''Today's Man is a Company on the move, and I am excited to join the organization at a time when such exciting developments are in their initial stages,'' said Mangini. ''David Feld is a legend in the menswear market, having introduced the superstore concept and raising awareness among men about value and quality in tailored clothing. I look forward to the opportunity to work closely with David and the very talented merchandising organization he has developed over the years.''

Today's Man, which currently operates 25 superstores in the greater Philadelphia, New York and Washington markets, is a men's apparel superstore retailer offering a wide selection of tailored clothing, furnishings, sportswear and shoes at everyday low prices.
