How about buying Oct puts @20-30 instead to hedge against a major market crash? (Apologies if this turns out to be a silly proposition, but I have no experience at all with options.) Having ridden ANCR down from 14 to 1 once, I'd like to protect myself from such disasters in the future, without letting go any of my large long position... - nic Post-edit: just saw eric's post after writing mine - thanks eric!
