Mephisto,

It looks like short term (less than 2 years...) uncertainties about interest rates was the reason for the bad auction of 2 years US treasury notes yesterday, preventing buyers to trade. Today the 5 years notes was way better and did spin-off its result on the market, propelling the NASDAQ which was surprisingly strong even while other indexes were weak at the bell.

I don't see any significant correction right now, and every down day is a good occasion to jump in... BTW I still think current profits from corporation are still improving from a low reached in Q4 '95. In short I would agree with your senior broker. However we still need to have a look at the Labor Dpt. report due out on Friday morning... looking for US wage inflation ? is there any ? This is the only "bete noire". As long as it's non-existant and core inflatiion remains low, the backdrop remains a stock investor's dream...

Lombard use the secure access from Netscape which is an implementation IBM public's key system (though I don't remember if it's 32 bits or 64 bits wide). It would take any computer 100s of years to break in... I think I can relax... However the Netscape version available 'on-line' is limited to 16 bits encoding because of the US Government restraint on export for such secure transmission. You only get the fully secure Netscape Client if you buy their software package in the United States... which I intend to do next July.

No I won't use it at work... I have access to the afternoon New-York trading from home.

SUNW is a high grade stock... Day by day it didn't move much... however in one year I made 120% only by keeping the shares... It would be safe to use a down day to jump in again.
