Wouldn't be surprised if some mass-market rag does an MU cover story. The tout-fest sounds like a good time had by most; here's Briefing's take: "Micron's presentation focused a single theme: DRAM prices are rising and so is volume demand...Micron speculated that DRAM prices, currently at a little over $4 for a 64-megabit module, would rise to over $5 as early as August of this year, and perhaps rise as high as $6 by the end of the year...Micron, which has lost money in 5 of the last 6 quarters, declined to speculate on when they would reach profitability. They also dodged the question on how the expected $1 billion in expenses to meet the demand would effect [sic] the balance sheet. Furthermore, they declined to comment on whether a $6 DRAM price was more or less than the cost to produce the DRAM." -mb
