"Violence to the concept of paternity" is fairly simple: it is essentially not the man's child, since he has no say in whether or not it is carried to term. Such things as suing for support, making the man take responsibility for the child, are anachronisms that are irreconcilable with the theory that it is solely her decision. It is not suppositious, since eventually it has to become an issue, and the logic is clear...
