VOD info from conference call... CEO mentioned "several large trials in Q3, one with TWX and with other large MSOs". (Only 8-9 weeks left in Q3.. VOD really is starting!) An analyst asked about the status of TWX's plan to roll out production in October. A: this has been delayed, though the major outstanding issues mentioned earlier (content encription/decription, billing systems, SFA headend problems) have been worked around/resolved. Expect 3-6 month trials before a trial site passed the test acceptance criteria to become a production site which would then produce revenue for the company. Q: MSO readiness/willingness for VOD? A: Varies among MSOs with TWX being the most ready and aggressive for roll-out to TCI being more wait-and-see. MSOs haven't budgetted much for VOD deployment this year.
