Folks, to see why QWST bought USW in a hurry, just check out Teleglobe (TGO)today, found this one from NYSE most active list. It appears to me we now have an excessive supply of bandwidth, especially the backbone section. QWST needs customers to fill up its pipes. This is a right move. Soon the backbone bandwidth providers will experience what semiconductor manufacturers have gone through, I just don't know when. I hope the next good buy will be in the cable and DSL sectors, those last-mile providers. They can bring in the demand.
