It eventually comes down to subscriber ##'s

To be more precise, it comes down to monetizing your subscribers, a fancy word for turning them upside down and shaking loose a few pennies every time they log on. For now XSNI has phone company revenue plus ads - others have E-commerce services to offer, along with deeper pockets to bear the ISP losses in the first place.

And there are zero barriers to entry for competitors or for a customer to change free ISP's in a flash. Not a business I would want to be in.
