*but in the end if the stock price goes nowhere the words mean nothing.*
Gary,
I know not of your investment methods. I am of the persuasion that as long as a company shows fundamental progress, and is financially healthy, I am delighted that over a long period of time I may accumulate a position. Is it not the true goal to buy low, have a few cream sodas, and anticipate that once a suitable accumulation period passes, watch the investment only then move out of the blocks? I for one am delighted that the price has hovered in this range. I will not be retiring for many many years, so I hope to even add to my position more over the next few years at these low levels.
But alas, apparently we share much different investment philosophies. However, I respect your point of view.
A parting shot: QCOM sat in a range of 40-60 (pre split) for THREE years. For those patient enough (myself included) the 520% gain has been very rewarding. Sure, you may say that most of the gain has occurred since the beginning of this year, but boy-oh-boy the ride has been fun!
I challenge you to have a bit of patience . . . it generally will pay off as long as the company is of sound fundamentals.
Sincerely, Robert |
