Ah, yes -- Gary North, the TEOTWAWKI man! Did you know he was also a leading "Christian Reconstructionist," son-in-law of Head Honcho Rushdoony himself? These guys WANT the end of the world "as we know it," so they can built their own "Christian Reconstructionist" society on its ruins. And they are very "cheerful" about it, as you have noted.
